!! Its called 'Living the MALL life' !!

One fine morning at a middle class family's residence........ (year - 1960's )

Child: Amma...Appa...today is my birthday....lets go to the temple....

The child is having her birthday and so their family set forth to the temple , to pray for their child's well being.
Infact , they dont stop after a single temple , they go to almost all of them in their locality.
Then as a birthday token , the dad gives the child some money.

After the temple visit , they come back home and have their breakfast and plan to go out for shopping.

Dad: ok..everyone get ready...we hav to go buy some clothes for the birthday baby.... honey , where shall we go? Nalli silks? Chennai silks? Pothys? ( i give u a clue about the gender! :) )

Child: Dad....Chennai silks will be great! :D

So , thus , the family make move towards their shopping destination...

Hey guyzz , im not telling you a story , its something to think on.....

One fine morning at the same middle class family's residance ( but present generation).... (year - 2011)

Child: daddy , mommy....today is my birthday guys...we need to go uot and have some fun...
Mom: ok...get ready quickly , God is first , then only others... ( direct translation of tamil to english! :) )
Child: Oh God!! Cant waste time going to temples...lest get ready and go to the THE DIVINE!!
Mom: Thats exactly what I am saying dear , we l  go to the temple to meet the divine...
Child: Oh no moron mommy.... i was talkin about the shopping mall , THE DIVINE!!  :@

                                     

Dear friends , this is the scenario of todays young world. No ones thinking of going to the temple or get blessings from parents or giving charity or even bathing ( !! ) , durin their birthdays or rather other so called 'Special Days'.
The one and only thing that comes in the narrow minds are the three letters 'MALL'..ummm...sorry four letters!

Dad: ok....uve got dresses and gifts..now...where to have lunch? Honey(mother)....is there food at home?
Child: Oh Dad! Dont be such a loser! we are in a huge mall and you are asking me to eat back at home , that too idlees??? no way... Lets go to the food corner at the third floor.... i can smell delicious food here...come on!!

So , after lunch will be the movie house at the same mall ,then , snacks then again little shopping and then Dinner and then after the watchman has left , the family returns home... forget the child , but do you think the parents would be contented?? well , i dont think so...

As you saw , a lot of money was spent at the mall , rather given to the mall as birthday money!!!
lets say , this one family that we saw spent around 5000 rupees. So, there might be more families who would have visited THE DIVINE for their birthdays , wedding days , blah blah blah.... so putting all together , just imagine how much the mall owner earns in a single day! :O

That amount can be used as charity or some other useful purposes... well , im not sayin that shopping at malls are useless , but , we could get the same things and facilities at lower budgets some other places.

Personally , i feel that malls are taking over all aspects of business as in Movie Houses , Clothing , Restraunts , Play corner , Watch Houses and whatnot!!??!!
Since , we get all these things under one roof , we succumb to these malls. 

Take the example of college life. When you people get whats called 'City Passes' ( my college has these silly rules! ) , then what you instantly think is going out for a movie and then whiling away time at some mall, as for boys , it is mainly to 'Birdwatch'!
You  could use that "birdwatching' time to do something useful , or atleast but yourself an underwear as you have got only two of those ( that too torn! :\)!!! :D

hmmm.....so i hope i have knocked some sense onto your minds.....

How i (fell , am falling , will always fall) in love with Meg Ryan!

It was one usual day of my present vacation.....
I woke up at mornin 8 (as usual) and did the usual business of common man. Then after havin my breakfsat , i sat down to search a movie to download and watch.

I was browsing through the famous site IMDB , through the different genres.In this site , once you browse a genre , the next time u visit the genres page , the ones you have already entered will be highlighted.
I was just brushing through the genres wich i havnt touched , then , i came across this genre called 'Romance'.

So , i thought i would give it a shot!!

The first movie that happened to catch my attention was "When Harry met Sally".

It is a 7.7.... the actors were new to me... Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal.
I noticed that the girl had somethin different in her eyes!
So , i downloaded it and since my download speed is around 700kb/sec , the movie was ready by 10 mins..
In the beginning i did not have great expectations but when Meg Ryan entered the movie , it was like "WOW!!" and my eyes got glued to the movie. Apart from being extremely cute , she also acts a lot!!
It was from then on that i developed a craze for her and her movies.

Obviously the next on my download list was... " YOU've Got Mail".

It is a 6.3.... Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan were the actors in this. Once again , she made me glued to my seat from the begining till the end.  O_O
This is a wonderful story where the two f them are rivals in buisness field but their mind get close through the net , via emails , that too they wont be knowing about each other apart from their pen names.     
The best thing about this movie was the emotions and mainly those of Ryan.

Then i decided to moe on with the next of Megs movies....." City Of Angels"

This movie is a 6.4..... 'The Ghost Rider' Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan are the lead actors.    
Once again a good calm movie from Meg. Nicholas cage was outstanding as usual.Above all , Meg Ryan was gorgeous and whatnot.

My next movie on the hitlist was .... "Sleepless in seatlle"

Well , again Tom Hanks and Meq Ryan meet in a movieand one can very well guess that this is a bockbuster hit!
This movie is a 6.7...... and its after this movie that i dint pay attention to those IMDB figure. This touching movie got only a 6.7??!!?? :O
To be more precise , it was after this movie that i totally fell for her....... <3     

Lately , I have downloaded some of her blockbuster hits.....
1.Top Gun
2.When A Man Loves A Woman                                  
3.French Kiss
4.Addicted To Love
5.Kate And Leopold

Well , she was born on 1961 , so probably now she is a 51 year old woman. so , when I said that I love Meg Ryan , some of my friends made fun of me that Im dating a 50 year old woman. But , according to me , she is still that same 25 year old girl , who is stylish , hot , cute , sexy and all other adjectives possible from the dictionary that go hand in hand with the above mentioned ones.

The thing that I liked the most about Meg was her gorgeous smile. Whenever I see her smile, it make me go wild!! :)

Sometimes I feel that her co - actors in all her movies are lucky brats , to touch her and sometimes kiss her.

Now I understand why Richard Corliss called her "The Soul Of Romantic Movies". Indeed there cant be a more romantic looking person to get such an appreciation.

so.....hats off to My Fair Lady!

some reasons for boys havin a slligghht edge over the galz! :D

there has always been a debate or rather a poll on who is better , are the boyz or are the galz... :)

well , here are some reasons why boyz are better and the best , compared to the galz...( to all girls - ur offence is welcomed! :D)

well...to start off , heres a simple thing...

Boys can sit in front of a scary movie and not close their eyes once!

This is true in case of almost 99% boyz...except some fainthearts! :P

 

Boys dont get embarrassed easily!

This is becose , boys hav a relatively lower so caleed EGO levels. Well if u dont know wat 'ego' means , dont try googling it , jus ask the nearby girl! :D

 Boys dont worry about diet this and diet that!

 Yah...ther r some boys who are diet consious...but they are so puny compared to the large number of galz....

Sometimes i think , pepsi brought out the new 'DIET COKE' for the galzz.. :D

Boys can take pain better than girls!

this one is absolutely true....boyz are the best in takin pain.... mainly the ones related to heart and mind.... well..ther mite be a few exceptions like devdas etc....but majority are not like him becos its 22nd century and ther still is only 1 devdas! :D

Whereas if a girl is hurt , mentally, tats all...she is down and out....they have absolutely no fighting abilities....

in our coloqial terms....she is GONE! :D

Boys have more 'Self Awareness' than the galz!

Boys are simply more self aware than girls are. Boys know that once they have got out of bed in the morning, that is pretty much as good as they are going to look for the rest of the day. A quick wash and brush up, maybe a shave and that is it. We dont spend time applying many different layers of make-up or agonising over what to wear that day becose we know we’d only be trying to fool ourselves.So this ultimately leads to...

Boys always hav lower expectations! 

 i strongly bleve that majority of the boys liv for themselves and not for the others. A boy does not care whether his shirt is ironed or his shoe is polished or his nails are nicely manicured or whether his hair is smooth...nothing.....whereas if a take a gal....then she lives for others all the time...

Boys dont wear that irritating smile when others are in trouble!

yuck.....this is the wierdest thing with galz. Most f them dont hav the slightest bit of humanity in them!

i cant take that smile they wud hav wen some1 is in trouble... :(

and finally.... Boys were created first!!!                                  

so ultimately BOYZ are superiour!!! :D

so now comin bak to the alarm thing..... thala usually keeps bore stuffs but i remember once he kept the scary tone from the movie ' yaavarum nalam' .. lol...
as far as kvm is concerned , he cries over melody..so keeps songs wich wud annoy me like hell!
comin to the god...well same as that f thala....
so u c , many tunes for alarm...  now u people mite be thinkin that i started somwer and i reached somwer.....but no.... ALARM is a beautiful aspect f our lives... so goin bak to school days...

"trrrrrriiiiiinnnnngggggg"... wen alarm goes on.... u feel terrible...puts it off and sleeps.... then in comes the queen..the mother...and takes off ur bedsheet and brainwashes u to get up , or , somtimes shouts.....
so... respecting her shout , u get up...gets ready for school....

" a+b the whole squ.." ... u will be reading in ur room...mom enters gives a cup of complan and snacks so that u read properly.... ( or horlicks probably... it makes u sharper...forget the rest taller blah blah...)
mom cooks good food , delicious food.... ( readers pls make note of the word delicious because its gonna get extinct from my life shortly! )

A SCHOOLTIME 'GETTING READY'

its ur home...big , huge ( guess both r synonymss! :D)... anyways.... u mite be havin 3 r 4 bathrooms....so its easygoin for eveyone...there is leisure....( readers plss note leisure too!!)

so soon came the 12th grade...so came the relations of 12th grade - uncle Mr .Tension , aunt Mrs.Nofreetym , cousins Irritation and Studies  and also the main person , granpa Dr.Entrance... :D

entrance was the worst part f my life.... and more worse was the coaching...... and wen i was about to get a gud grasp on things...POOF!... time ran away and in came the entrance questionpapers!!!

so after all that , i finally ended up in ASE cbe... with the topmost branch now ECE....
oh boyy...i was happy..i can bet u that i was happy..... but a common thought prevaild in my house( guess uncle tension was not ready to leave me! :) ).... and it was 'hostel life and my friends' ....
well...i was not scared at the begining but slowly my mind was also attacked!!

i spent nights without sleepin , thinkin about how my frends are gona be.... and i unfortunatel happened to read news about hostel suicides , murders...etc...

so came the day of my admission into the ASE cbe.... i said gudbye to my home (as if im gona die! :) ) and left home with parents for the so called 'Induction program'.....
we reached college and i still remember the car stoppin infront of the mianbuilding beside a huge Goddess Saraswati statue...... i got out and my first prints fell there.... i was scared...but was not aware f the happyness thats gona follow..!!

u guys wanna know...so comon...... :)

At the induction program , i heard loads n loads f promises which are to be written on water and the facilities blah blah....  i quit listening and looked around.... i dont remember who all i saw but some wer gud figures ( *chuckle*) ......
My attention returned to the speech of the Chiefwarden only wen my dad asked him a question about the hostel...and that guy answered somthing totally out f the box.... if it was an exam question to be evaluated out of 10...i wud giv im a big naught!  such an dumbo was he.... :)

Then came the time for unpackin things into my room...actually it was not my room , it was shared by four people...and all my thoughts wer sunk into those 4 people!!!

'bye son...take care...mmuuuah! ' ....  my parents left and i was watching their car disappear behind the bushes n walls....

then on my collegelife started... i was thrilled , excited , scared , sad,,,,everythin....that particular night! ( so obviously no sleep!)

A COLLEGETIME MORNING

"ellapughazhum iravivan oruvanukkae...." ...my alarm went on..... i switched it off....and slept...but this time no mother came and i woke up due to realisation that i was not at home!

 A COLLEGETIME 'GETTING READY'

i got up , took my bucket soap etc...and as the others wer doin , rushed off to the bathroom.... and for a splitsecond thought that i had reached some cinema house.... yeah u guessed it rite...THE Q!! :(
so now i lost the word leisure from my life! :(

the first day went smooth , with the campus tour n rubbish like that....then got frends.....more frends...more frends.... :)
I have to mention about the mess..... lol...first few meals wer gud...then it bcame worse , worser , worst,,( can any1 giv me a better word??). Thus , the word delicious got extinct! 

the classes began , nd i was not so serious abt studies (as always).. so went the first year....then the second....
Now its the tym to mention about my frends..... finally i felt that Uncle.Tension has left me freee!!!

i cud explain more but...since my first bloggin , i guess this is enuf... becos i simply cant stop talkin abt my frendss n college! :D

The names i mentioned in the begining got so close to me and we all gelled togather well...eventhough ther wer few fights in between... with the god  for a 5 ruppee coin and f course with thala...without reasons! :D

still two more years to go...and i wish i enjoy the most i can before the relatives of campus selection return!! :D
